Alternate Names
MAP/ERK kinase kinase 2; MAPK/ERK kinase kinase 2; MEK kinase 2; MEKK 2; MEKK2; MEKK2B; mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 2
Description (eCommerce)
MEKK2 is a serine-threonine kinase and activator of kinases in the MAP kinase signaling pathway. MAPKs are activated through the kinase cascade of MAPK, MAPK kinase (MAPKK), and MAPKK kinase (MAPKKK). MEK2 is also known as MAPKKK2 (mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase kinase 2). MEKK2 regulates the JNK and ERK5 activation.
Description (Vector)
MAP3K2 is a member of serine/threonine protein kinase family. This kinase preferentially activates other kinases involved in the MAP kinase signaling pathway. This kinase has been shown to directly phosphorylate and activate Ikappa B kinases, and thus plays a role in NF-kappa B signaling pathway. This kinase has also been found to bind and activate protein kinase C-related kinase 2, which suggests its involvement in a regulated signaling process.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
