Description (eCommerce)
Nectin-2/ CD112 is a type I membrane glycoprotein of the Immunoglobulin superfamily. It is a plasma membrane components of adherens junctions and acts as a receptor for certain mutant strains of herpes simplex virus and pseudorabies virus. Nectin-2/ CD112 is also a modulator of T-cell signaling. [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 389677)].
Description (Vector)
PVRL2 encodes a single-pass type I membrane glycoprotein with two Ig-like C2-type domains and an Ig-like V-type domain. This protein is one of the plasma membrane components of adherens junctions. It also serves as an entry for certain mutant strains of herpes simplex virus and pseudorabies virus, and it is involved in cell to cell spreading of these viruses. Variations in this gene have been associated with differences in the severity of multiple sclerosis. Alternate transcriptional splice variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
