Description (eCommerce)
Sequestosome-1 is an adapter protein that binds ubiquitin and may regulate the activation of NFKB1 by TNF-alpha, nerve growth factor (NGF) and interleukin-1. Sequestosome-1 may play a role in titin/TTN downstream signaling in muscle cells, and may regulate signaling cascades through ubiquitination. Sequestosome-1 may be involved in cell differentiation, apoptosis, immune response and regulation of K+ channels [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ Q13501].
Description (Vector)
SQSTM1 encodes a multifunctional protein that binds ubiquitin and regulates activation of the nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-kB) signaling pathway. The protein functions as a scaffolding/adaptor protein in concert with TNF receptor-associated factor 6 to mediate activation of NF-kB in response to upstream signals. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding either the same or different isoforms have been identified for this gene. Mutations in this gene result in sporadic and familial Paget disease of bone.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
