E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MGRN1; mahogunin ring finger 1, E3 ubiquitin protein ligase; mahogunin RING finger protein 1; probable E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase MGRN1; RING finger protein 156; RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase MGRN1; RNF156
Description (eCommerce)
MGRN1 (mahogunin RING finger protein 1) is an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates monoubiquitination at multiple sites of TSG101 in the presence of UBE2D1, but not of UBE2G1, nor UBE2H. MGRN1 plays a role in the regulation of endosome-to-lysosome trafficking. It impairs MC1R- and MC4R-signaling by competing with GNAS-binding to MCRs and inhibiting agonist-induced cAMP production but does not promote MC1R ubiquitination [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/ O60291].
Description (Vector)
Mahogunin (MGRN1) is a C3HC4 RING-containing protein with E3 ubiquitin ligase activity in vitro.(supplied by OMIM, Apr 2004)

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
