AAV with ELA1 promoter driven LacZ
This AAV expresses LacZ driven by a pancreatic acinar ELA1 promoter.
Rat elastase 1 (Ela1; ELAI1; RATELAI1), also called chymotrypsin-like elastase family, member 1, is the major protease with elastin-degrading activity in the mammalian exocrine pancreas. The ELA1 promoter (0.3Kb) is comprised of the core promoter and enhancer, and directs transgene expression in pancreatic acinar cells, stomach, duodenum, and colon.
The bacterial enzyme -galactosidase (gene LacZ) is frequently used as a reporter gene. It can be easily located with LacZ staining using the artificial substrate X-gal, which turns blue when cleaved by -galactosidase (LacZ).
Ready-to-use AAV expressing LacZ driven by a pancreatic acinar ELA1 promoter. Available in AAV1, AAV2, AAV5, AAV6, AAV8, AAV9, AAV-DJ and other serotypes.
