Alternate Names
H3-K4-HMTase SETD7; histone H3-K4 methyltransferase SETD7; histone H3-lysine 4-specific methyltransferase; histone-lysine N-methyltransferase SETD7; KMT7; lysine N-methyltransferase 7; SET domain-containing protein 7; SET7; SET7/9; SET9
Description (eCommerce)
SET7 is a member of the SET (SuVar3-9, enhancer of Zeste, Trithorax) domain-containing protein family. SET7 functions as a histone methyltransferase that specifically monomethylates lysine-4 of histone H3. SET7 has also been observed to monomethylate non-histone proteins such as p53, TAF10, and the estrogen receptor. The methylating activity of SET7 is essential to cell cycle progression and genomic stability.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
