Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
PME-1; protein phosphatase methylesterase 1; testicular secretory protein Li 39
Description (eCommerce)
PPME1 / PME-1 (protein phosphatase methylesterase 1) is a protein phosphatase methylesterase localized to the nucleus. It acts on the protein phosphatase-2A catalytic subunit and supports the ERK pathway through dephosphorylation of regulatory proteins. PPME1 / PME plays a role in malignant glioma progression [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 51400)].
Description (Vector)
Protein phosphatase methylesterase-1 catalyzes the demethylation of the protein phosphatase-2A catalytic subunit (PPP2CA; MIM 176915) (Ogris et al., 1999 (PubMed 10318862)).(supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008)

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
