AAV with ALB(1.0) promoter driven mCherry

Name
AAV-ALB(1.0)-mCherry
Cat No
VB1715
Availability
3 weeks

This AAV expresses mCherry driven by a liver ALB(1.0) promoter.

The ALB(1.0) is a shorter version of the ALB(1.4) promoter with a total length of 1.0 Kb. In mouse liver cells, the transgene expression from this ALB(1.0) synthetic promoter is about 3-5 times lower than that of ALB(1.4) promoter but 10-20 fold greater than that of the CMV promoter 10-20 weeks after plasmid injection into mouse liver.

mCherry was derived from DsRed through extensive mutagenesis. It has an Excitation/Emission spectrum of 590nm/610nm. mCherry’s emission spectrum is similar to the following fluorescent markers: mRuby (Em=605nM), JRed (Em=610nM), mRFP1 (Em=607nM), and HcRed1.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
