Alternate Names
TIX1; triple homeobox 1; triple homeobox protein 1; zinc finger and homeodomain protein 3; zinc fingers and homeoboxes protein 3
Description (eCommerce)
ZHX3 (zinc-fingers and homeoboxes 3) was identified as a factor that heterodimerizes with the transcriptional repressor, ZHX1. ZHX3 has also been found to partner with ZHX2 and itself, as a dimer, to play a role in transcriptional repression. Recently, studies in a rat model for proteinuria have revealed an important role for ZHX3 in glomerular disease development and the regulation of gene expression in glomerular podocytes.
Description (Vector)
ZHX3 encodes a member of the zinc fingers and homeoboxes (ZHX) gene family. The encoded protein contains two C2H2-type zinc fingers and five homeodomains and forms a dimer with itself or with zinc fingers and homeoboxes family member 1. In the nucleus, the dimerized protein interacts with the A subunit of the ubiquitous transcription factor nuclear factor-Y and may function as a transcriptional repressor.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
