Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
HMSNP; protein TFG; SPG57; TF6; TRK-fused gene protein; TRKT3; TRKT3 oncogene
Description (eCommerce)
TRK-fused gene (TFG) has been identified as part of a chromosomal translocation [t(1,3)(q21;q11)] with NTRK1 in thyroid papillary carcinoma. TGF is implicated to play a role in modulating SHP-1 activity and has also been found to interact with TANK and NEMO, two proteins involved in the NF-kappaB signaling pathway.
Description (Vector)
There are several documented fusion oncoproteins encoded partially by this gene. This gene also participates in several oncogenic rearrangements resulting in anaplastic lymphoma and mixoid chondrosarcoma, and may play a role in the NF-kappaB pathway. Multiple transcript variants have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
