Description (eCommerce)
Ribosomal protein S6 kinase beta 2 (S6K2) encodes a member of the ribosomal S6 kinase family that phosphorylates the 40 S ribosomal subunit protein S6 and eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4B (eIF4B). S6K2 is an isoform of the p70 S6 kinase, S6K (p70a/S6K1) and is in the PI3K and mTOR pathway.
Description (Vector)
RPS6KB2 encodes a member of the RSK (ribosomal S6 kinase) family of serine/threonine kinases. This kinase contains 2 nonidentical kinase catalytic domains and phosphorylates the S6 ribosomal protein and eucaryotic translation initiation factor 4B (eIF4B). Phosphorylation of S6 leads to an increase in protein synthesis and cell proliferation.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
