Description (eCommerce)
LSM14A encodes Protein LSM14 homolog A, a Sm-like protein. The Sm-like proteins are thought to form a stable heteromer present in tri-snRNP particles, which are important for pre-mRNA splicing [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 26065)].U6 snRNA-associated Sm-like protein LSm7 is encoded by the gene LSM7. Sm-like proteins are thought to form a stable heteromer present in tri-snRNP particles, which are important for pre-mRNA splicing [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 51690)].
Description (Vector)
Sm-like proteins were identified in a variety of organisms based on sequence homology with the Sm protein family (see SNRPD2; 601061). Sm-like proteins contain the Sm sequence motif, which consists of 2 regions separated by a linker of variable length that folds as a loop. The Sm-like proteins are thought to form a stable heteromer present in tri-snRNP particles, which are important for pre-mRNA splicing.(supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008)

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
