Description (eCommerce)
CTNND1 is an Armadillo repeat domain protein and member of the p120 protein family. The major function of CTNND1 involves the regulation of cadherins to influence cell-cell interactions. CTNND1 regulates cadherins by controlling cadherin turnover and/or trafficking. CTNND1 has also been found to play a role in the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton by modulating the activity of small GTPase Rho family members. CTNND1 is a substrate of the nonreceptor tyrosine kinase src and may play a role in the regulation of factors that regulate transcription.
Description (Vector)
CTNND1 encodes a member of the Armadillo protein family, which function in adhesion between cells and signal transduction. Multiple translation initiation codons and alternative splicing result in many different isoforms being translated. Not all of the full-length natures of the described transcript variants have been determined. Read-through transcription also exists between this gene and the neighboring upstream thioredoxin-related transmembrane protein 2 (TMX2) gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
