Alternate Names
coronin, actin binding protein, 1B; coronin-1B; CORONIN-2
Description (eCommerce)
Coronin 2 is an F-actin binding protein that plays an important role in processes involving actin dynamics such as fibroblast migration, and phagocytosis. Coronin 2 influences actin dynamics by promoting actin depolymerization. It has been shown to interact with the Arp2/3 complex and inhibit Arp2/3-induced actin nucleation. Additionally, it can regulate motility by regulating the actin severing and disassembling activity of cofilin.
Description (Vector)
Members of the coronin family, such as CORO1B, are WD repeat-containing actin-binding proteins that regulate cell motility (Cai et al., 2005 (PubMed 16027158)).(supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008)

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
