Alternate Names
ABC27; ABC50; ATP-binding cassette 50; ATP-binding cassette 50 (TNF-alpha stimulated); ATP-binding cassette sub-family F member 1; ATP-binding cassette, sub-family F (GCN20), member 1; TNFalpha-inducible ATP-binding protein; TNF-alpha-stimulated ABC protein
Description (eCommerce)
ATP-binding cassette sub-family F member 1 (ABCF1) is also known as ABC50 and belongs to the adenosine-triphosphate-binding cassette (ABC) family of transporters. ABC transporters are categorized into seven subfamilies: ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, and white. ABC50 is a member of the GCN20 subfamily. Unlike other ABC family members, ABC50 is not a membrane-spanning protein. ABC50 has been found to play a role in translation initiation and interacts with eIF2.
Description (Vector)
ABCF1 is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the GCN20 subfamily. Unlike other members of the superfamily, this protein lacks the transmembrane domains which are characteristic of most ABC transporters. This protein may be regulated by tumor necrosis factor-alpha and play a role in enhancement of protein synthesis and the inflammation process.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
