Description (eCommerce)
ASCL1/MASH1 is a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (BHLH) family of transcription factors. Dimerization with other BHLH proteins is required for efficient DNA binding. ASCL1 plays a role in the neuronal commitment and differentiation and in the generation of olfactory and autonomic neurons. [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 429)].
Description (Vector)
ASCL1 encodes a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (BHLH) family of transcription factors. The protein activates transcription by binding to the E box (5'-CANNTG-3'). Dimerization with other BHLH proteins is required for efficient DNA binding. This protein plays a role in the neuronal commitment and differentiation and in the generation of olfactory and autonomic neurons. Mutations in this gene may contribute to the congenital central hypoventilation syndrome (CCHS) phenotype in rare cases.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
