TRPM2 (transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 2) is a voltage-independent cation channel that mediates susceptibility to cell death in response to oxidative stress. TRPM2 is activated by adenosine diphosphoribose (ADP-ribose) and its activation is dependent on calcium and calmodulin levels. A splice variant of TRPM2, TRPM2-S, has been shown to interact with the full length form and suppress calcium influx and susceptibility to cell death.

TRPM2 is a calcium-permeable cation channel that is regulated by free intracellular ADP-ribose. The encoded protein is activated by oxidative stress and confers susceptibility to cell death. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but their full-length nature is not known.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
