Description (eCommerce)
SPF30 (splicing factor 30) is encoded by the SMNDC1 (survival motor neuron domain containing 1) gene and is a paralog of the SMN1 (survival motor neuron) protein. SPF30 has been identified as an essential component of the splicesome complex.
Description (Vector)
SMNDC1 is a paralog of SMN1 gene, which encodes the survival motor neuron protein, mutations in which are cause of autosomal recessive proximal spinal muscular atrophy. The protein encoded by this gene is a nuclear protein that has been identified as a constituent of the spliceosome complex. SMNDC1 is differentially expressed, with abundant levels in skeletal muscle, and may share similar cellular function as the SMN1 gene.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
