Alternate Names
MNAR; modulator of non-genomic activity of estrogen receptor; P160; proline and glutamic acid rich nuclear protein; proline-, glutamic acid- and leucine-rich protein 1; transcription factor HMX3
Description (eCommerce)
PELP1/MNAR was identified as an SH2 domain interacting protein that interacts with Lck, c-Src, and other members of the Src kinase family. PELP1/MNAR appears to function as a general coregulator and interacts with multiple nuclear receptors and transcription factors. PELP1/MNAR has also been shown to participate in nongenomic signaling via an association with a multiprotein complex, the “signalsome” involving ERalpha, Src kinase, PI3K, SHC, and G-proteins. As a transcriptional coregulator and signaling protein, PELP/MNAR mediates a variety of cellular functions such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, oncogenesis and metastasis.
Description (Vector)
PELP1 encodes a transcription factor which coactivates transcription of estrogen receptor responsive genes and corepresses genes activated by other hormone receptors or sequence-specific transcription factors. Expression of this gene is regulated by both members of the estrogen receptor family. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
