Description (eCommerce)
Paf1 is a component of the Paf1 complex that was originally identified in yeast as an RNA-polymerase II (RNAP II)-associated complex. The Paf1 complex functions in multiple aspects of gene expression. Paf1 has been shown to play roles in transcript elongation, histone H2B monoubiquitination, H3 methylation, chromatin remodeling, mRNA 3’-end processing, and the coupling of transcriptional and posttranscriptional events.
Description (Vector)
PAF1 encodes a subunit of the polymerase associated factor (PAF1) complex. The PAF1 complex interacts with RNA polymerase II and plays a role in transcription elongation as well as histone modifications including ubiquitylation and methylation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
