Description (eCommerce)
UTX (ubiquitously transcribed X chromosome tetratricopeptide repeat protein) is a JmjC domain- and tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) domain- containing protein. UTX functions as a histone demethylase that specifically demethylates 'Lys-27' of histone H3, It demethylates trimethylated and dimethylated but not monomethylated H3 'Lys-27'. UTX plays a central role in regulation of posterior development, by regulating HOX gene expression [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/O15550].
Description (Vector)
KDM6A is located on the X chromosome and is the corresponding locus to a Y-linked gene which encodes a tetratricopeptide repeat (TPR) protein. The encoded protein of this gene contains a JmjC-domain and catalyzes the demethylation of tri/dimethylated histone H3.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
