Gene Reference Data

Alternate Names
ARHGAP46; GEM-interacting protein; GMIP
Description (eCommerce)
GEM-interacting protein (GMIP) is a member of the ARHGAP family of Rho/Rac/Cdc42-like GTPase activating proteins. GMIP interacts with the Ras-related protein Gem through its N-terminal domain. Separately, it interacts with RhoA through a RhoGAP domain, and stimulates RhoA-dependent GTPase activit [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 51291)].
Description (Vector)
GMIP encodes a member of the ARHGAP family of Rho/Rac/Cdc42-like GTPase activating proteins. The encoded protein interacts with the Ras-related protein Gem through its N-terminal domain. Separately, it interacts with RhoA through a RhoGAP domain, and stimulates RhoA-dependent GTPase activity. Alternatively spliced variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described but their full-length nature has not been determined.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
