Description (Vector)
GIMAP1 encodes a protein belonging to the GTP-binding superfamily and to the immuno-associated nucleotide (IAN) subfamily of nucleotide-binding proteins. In humans, the IAN subfamily genes are located in a cluster at 7q36.1. GIMAP1 is thought to be involved in the differentiation of T helper (Th) cells of the Th1 lineage, and the related mouse gene has been shown to be critical for the development of mature B and T lymphocytes. Read-through transcription exists between this gene and the downstream GIMAP5 (GTPase, IMAP family member 5) gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
