Alternate Names
FAM40A; family with sequence similarity 40, member A; FAR11 factor arrest 11 homolog A; FAR11A; homolog of yeast FAR11 protein 1; protein FAM40A; striatin-interacting protein 1
Description (eCommerce)
FAM40A (family with sequence similarity 40, member A) plays a role in the regulation of cell morphology and cytoskeletal organization. It is required in the cortical actin filament dynamics and cell shape [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q5VSL9].
Description (Vector)
FAM40A encodes a member of the striatin-interacting phosphatase and kinase complex, which is involved in localization of the Golgi body. The encoded protein participates in cytosketelal organization. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
