Alternate Names
early endosome antigen 1; early endosome antigen 1, 162kD; early endosome-associated protein; endosome-associated protein p162; MST105; MSTP105; ZFYVE2; zinc finger FYVE domain-containing protein 2
Description (eCommerce)
Early endosomal autoantigen 1 (EEA1) bears an FYVE (Fab1p-YOPB-Vps27p-EEA1) domain which is an approximately 80 amino acid double-zinc binding motif that binds to PtdIns(3)P (phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate). The FYVE domain is found in proteins involved in intracellular signaling, membrane trafficking, and cytoskeletal rearrangement. EEA1 binds to early endosomal membranes that contain PtdIns(3)P and plays a role in the docking and fusion of early endosomes.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
