Alternate Names
DnaJ (Hsp40) homolog, subfamily C, member 2; dnaJ homolog subfamily C member 2; M-phase phosphoprotein 11; MPHOSPH11; MPP11; ZRF1; ZUO1; zuotin-related factor 1
Description (eCommerce)
M-phase phosphoprotein 11 is a phosphoprotein with a J domain and a Myb DNA-binding domain which localizes to both the nucleus and the cytosol. MPP11 is capable of forming a heterodimeric complex that associates with ribosomes, acting as a molecular chaperone for nascent polypeptide chains as they exit the ribosome. MPP11 was identified as a leukemia-associated antigen and expression of the gene is upregulated in leukemic blasts. Additionally, chromosomal aberrations involving the DNAJC2 gene are associated with primary head and neck squamous cell tumors [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 27000)].
Description (Vector)
DNAJC2 is a member of the M-phase phosphoprotein (MPP) family. The gene encodes a phosphoprotein with a J domain and a Myb DNA-binding domain which localizes to both the nucleus and the cytosol. The protein is capable of forming a heterodimeric complex that associates with ribosomes, acting as a molecular chaperone for nascent polypeptide chains as they exit the ribosome. This protein was identified as a leukemia-associated antigen and expression of the gene is upregulated in leukemic blasts. Also, chromosomal aberrations involving this gene are associated with primary head and neck squamous cell tumors. DNAJC2 has a pseudogene on chromosome 6. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
