Alternate Names
55 kDa bone marrow stromal/endothelial cell protein; binder of Rho GTPases 5; BORG5; CDC42 effector protein (Rho GTPase binding) 1; cdc42 effector protein 1; CEP1; MSE55; serum constituent protein; serum protein MSE55
Description (eCommerce)
BORG5 (binder of Rho GTPases 5) is part of a family of proteins that function as negative regulators of CDC42 Rho GTPase signaling. The Borg family of proteins are also known as CEPs (Cdc effector proteins) and have been shown to act downstream of Cdc42 to influence the assembly of actin filaments and changes in cell shape. BORG5 plays a role in mannose receptor-mediated phagocytosis of unopsonized Pneumocystis organisms by alveolar macrophages.
Description (Vector)
CDC42 is a member of the Rho GTPase family that regulates multiple cellular activities, including actin polymerization. The protein encoded by this gene is a CDC42 binding protein that mediates actin cytoskeleton reorganization at the plasma membrane. This protein is secreted and is primarily found in bone marrow.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
