Alternate Names
ankyrin repeat and KH domain-containing protein 1; HIV-1 Vpr-binding ankyrin repeat protein; hMASK; MASK; MASK1; Multiple ankyrin repeats single KH domain; multiple ankyrin repeats, single KH-domain homolog; PP2500; VBARP
Description (eCommerce)
Ankyrin repeat and KH domain containing 1 (ANKHD1) is also known as multiple ankyrin repeats single KH domain (MASK). ANKDH1 is thought to function as a scaffolding protein, and it may be involved in the regulation of caspases and thereby play an antiapoptotic role in cell survival [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 54882)].
Description (Vector)
ANKHD1 encodes a protein with multiple ankyrin repeat domains and a single KH-domain. The protein is thought to function as a scaffolding protein, and it may be involved in the regulation of caspases and thereby play an antiapoptotic role in cell survival. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, one of which generates a fusion transcript (MASK-BP3) with the downstream eIF4E-binding protein 3 (EIF4EBP3) gene, resulting in a protein comprised of the ANKHD1 sequence for the majority of the protein and a different C-terminus due to an alternate reading frame for the EIF4EBP3 segments.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
