mtPAP; PAP; PAP-associated domain-containing protein 1; PAPD1; poly(A) RNA polymerase, mitochondrial; polynucleotide adenylyltransferase; SPAX4; TENT6; terminal uridylyltransferase 1; TUTase 1
Description (eCommerce)
PAPD1 (mitochondrial poly(A) polymerase) is a polymerase that creates the 3' poly(A) tail of mitochondrial transcripts. PAPD1 can use all four nucleotides, but has higher activity with ATP and UTP (in vitro). It plays a role in replication-dependent histone mRNA degradation. It may be involved in the terminal uridylation of mature histone mRNAs before their degradation is initiated and might be responsible for the creation of some UAA stop codons which are not encoded in mtDNA [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 55149)].
Description (Vector)
MTPAP is a member of the DNA polymerase type-B-like family. This enzyme synthesizes the 3' poly(A) tail of mitochondrial transcripts and plays a role in replication-dependent histone mRNA degradation.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
