40 kDa erythrocyte membrane protein; G protein-coupled receptor 69A; GPR69A; LanC (bacterial lantibiotic synthetase component C)-like 1; LanC (bacterial lantibiotic synthetase component); LanC lantibiotic synthetase component C-like 1; lanC-like protein 1; p40
Description (eCommerce)
LanC lantibiotic synthetase component C-like 1 (LANCL1) is a loosely associated peripheral membrane protein related to the LanC family of bacterial membrane-associated proteins involved in the biosynthesis of antimicrobial peptides. This protein may play a role as a peptide-modifying enzyme component in eukaryotic cells. LANCL1 was previously considered a member of the G-protein-coupled receptor superfamily, this protein is now in the LanC family [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 10314)].
Description (Vector)
LANCL1 encodes a loosely associated peripheral membrane protein related to the LanC family of bacterial membrane-associated proteins involved in the biosynthesis of antimicrobial peptides. This protein may play a role as a peptide-modifying enzyme component in eukaryotic cells. Previously considered a member of the G-protein-coupled receptor superfamily, this protein is now in the LanC family. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
