ANKRD25; ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 25; kidney ankyrin repeat-containing protein 2; KN motif and ankyrin repeat domain-containing protein 2; matrix-remodeling-associated protein 3; MXRA3; NPHS16; PPKWH; SIP; SRC-1-interacting protein; SRC1-interacting protein; SRC-interacting protein
Description (eCommerce)
KANK2/SIP was first identified during a genome wide-screen for proteins that interact with the SRC transcriptional coactivator. KANK2/SIP was also identified by domain and phylogenetic analysis to be a member of the KANK ankyrin-repeat domain-containing protein family. KANK related proteins possess a conserved ankyrin-repeat and coiled-coil domain. KANK2, as well as other KANK proteins, appear to play a role in the formation of actin stress fibers.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
