Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
ETS translocation variant 6; ets variant gene 6 (TEL oncogene); ETS-related protein Tel1; TEL; TEL/ABL; TEL1 oncogene; THC5; transcription factor ETV6
Description (eCommerce)
ETS translocation variant 6 (ETV6) functions as a transcriptional repressor. Gene knockout studies in mice suggest that ETV6 is required for hematopoiesis and maintenance of the developing vascular network. The ETV6 gene is known to be involved in a large number of chromosomal rearrangements associated with leukemia and congenital fibrosarcoma [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 2120)].
Description (Vector)
ETV6 encodes an ETS family transcription factor. The product of this gene contains two functional domains: a N-terminal pointed (PNT) domain that is involved in protein-protein interactions with itself and other proteins, and a C-terminal DNA-binding domain. Gene knockout studies in mice suggest that it is required for hematopoiesis and maintenance of the developing vascular network. ETV6 is known to be involved in a large number of chromosomal rearrangements associated with leukemia and congenital fibrosarcoma.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
