Alternate Names
cell division cycle-associated protein 2; PPP1R81; protein phosphatase 1, regulatory subunit 81; recruits PP1 onto mitotic chromatin at anaphase protein; Repo-Man
Description (eCommerce)
CDCA2 is a regulator of chromosome structure during mitosis required for condensin-depleted chromosomes to retain their compact architecture through anaphase. Acts by mediating the recruitment of phopsphatase PP1-gamma subunit (PPP1CC) to chromatin at anaphase and into the following interphase. At anaphase onset, its association with chromatin targets a pool of PPP1CC to dephosphorylate substrates. [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q69YH5].

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
