The Four-and-a-Half-LIM domain (FHL) proteins include FHL-1 (SLIM-1), FHL-2 (SLIM-3), FHL-3 (SLIM-2) and FHL-4. The signature ¬øhalf-domain¬ø, a single zinc finger domain located in the N-terminal region, differentiates FHLs from other LIM-only proteins, which possess even numbered zinc fingers. Specific combinations of FHL proteins elicit selective activation of both CREB and CREM.

Description (Vector)
FHL2 may function as a molecular transmitter linking various signaling pathways to transcriptional regulation. Negatively regulates the transcriptional repressor E4F1 and may function in cell growth. Inhibits the transcriptional activity of FOXO1 and its apoptotic function by enhancing the interaction of FOXO1 with SIRT1 and FOXO1 deacetylation.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
