Description (eCommerce)
Forkhead box protein 03A (FOXO3a) belongs to a large family of Forkhead proteins that possesses a winged-helix DNA-binding domain called Forkhead box (FOX). FOXO3a is a transcription factor that functions to induce apoptosis in the absence of survival factors and in response to oxidative stress. Under conditions of oxidative stress FOXO3a is acetylated and localized to the nucleus where it may act as a transcriptional repressor.
Description (Vector)
FOXO3 belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which are characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. FOXO3 likely functions as a trigger for apoptosis through expression of genes necessary for cell death. Translocation of this gene with the MLL gene is associated with secondary acute leukemia. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been observed.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
