Description (eCommerce)
Complement receptor type 2 (CR2) is a receptor for complement C3Dd, for the Epstein-Barr virus on human B-cells and T-cells, and for HNRPU. CR2 participates in B lymphocytes activation [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P20023].
Description (Vector)
CR2 encodes a membrane protein, which functions as a receptor for Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) binding on B and T lymphocytes. Genetic variations in this gene are associated with susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus type 9 (SLEB9). Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
