Alternate Names
5-azacytidine induced 1; 5-azacytidine-induced protein 1; AZ1; AZI1; centrosomal protein 131 kDa; centrosomal protein 131kDa; centrosomal protein of 131 kDa; pre-acrosome localization protein 1; ZA1
Description (eCommerce)
CEP131/AZ1 was originally identified as a transcript that was increased in cells exposed to the demethylating agent, azacytidine. It was found to localize to the pre-acrosome region of spermatids and therefore thought to play a role in spermatogenesis. CEP131/AZ1 has also been identified as a component of the centrosome.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
