Description (eCommerce)
Low affinity cationic amino acid transporter 2 (CAT2) is a low-affinity, high capacity permease involved in the transport of the cationic amino acids (arginine, lysine and ornithine). It plays a regulatory role in classical or alternative activation of macrophages (By similarity) [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/P52569].
Description (Vector)
SLC7A2 is a cationic amino acid transporter and a member of the APC (amino acid-polyamine-organocation) family of transporters. The encoded membrane protein is responsible for the cellular uptake of arginine, lysine and ornithine. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
