golgi phosphoprotein 6; golgi reassembly stacking protein 2, 55kDa; Golgi reassembly-stacking protein 2; Golgi reassembly-stacking protein of 55 kDa; GOLPH6; GRASP55; GRS2; p59
Description (eCommerce)
Golgi reassembly-stacking protein 2 (GRASP55) plays a role in the assembly and membrane stacking of the Golgi cisternae, and in the process by which Golgi stacks reform after mitotic breakdown. GRASP55 may regulate the intracellular transport and presentation of a defined set of transmembrane proteins, such as transmembrane TGFA [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q9H8Y8].
Description (Vector)
GORASP2 encodes a member of the Golgi reassembly stacking protein family. These proteins may play a role in the stacking of Golgi cisternae and Golgi ribbon formation, as well as Golgi fragmentation during apoptosis or mitosis. The encoded protein also plays a role in the intracellular transport of transforming growth factor alpha and may function as a molecular chaperone. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the short arm of chromosome 2. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
