ADV-200704
Ad-h-AKT1S1
Ready-to-use Adenovirus expressing Human AKT1S1 (AKT1 substrate 1). Available with optional GFP reporter or cell-specific promoter.
Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
40 kDa proline-rich AKT substrate; AKT1 substrate 1 (proline rich); Lobe; PRAS40; proline-rich AKT1 substrate 1
Description (eCommerce)
AktS1/PRAS40 interacts with raptor as a component of the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). One study suggests that AktS1/PRAS40 may function to regulate mTORC1 kinase activity by inhibiting substrate binding. Another study suggests that AktS1/PRAS40 functions downstream of mTORC1 and upstream from its effectors S6K1, and 4E-BP1.
Description (Vector)
AKT1S1 is a proline-rich substrate of AKT (MIM 164730) that binds 14-3-3 protein (see YWHAH, MIM 113508) when phosphorylated (Kovacina et al., 2003 (PubMed 12524439)).(supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008)

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
