AAV with SST promoter driven EYFP
This AAV expresses EYFP driven by an islet SST promoter.
The rat SST gene (also known as SS-14, SS-28, or Smst) is synthesized in the pancreatic islets, gastrointestinal tract, nervous system, and thyroid gland. The promoter (SSTp) is a 0.9Kb regulatory fragment from the rat SST gene.
YFP is the longest wavelength-emitting variants of Aequorea GFP. The enhanced version, EYFP, has become one of the brightest and most widely utilized of the fluorescent proteins with an Excitation/Emission spectrum centered around 514nm/527nm. Other fluorescent proteins with similar emission spectrums include Topaz, Venus, Citrine and mCitrine.
Ready-to-use AAV expressing EYFP driven by an islet SST promoter. Available in AAV1, AAV2, AAV5, AAV6, AAV8, AAV9, AAV-DJ and other serotypes.
