Alternate Names
epididymis secretory sperm binding protein; histocompatibility Y antigen; histone demethylase JARID1D; HY; H-Y; HYA; JARID1D; Jumonji, AT rich interactive domain 1D (RBP2-like); jumonji/ARID domain-containing protein 1D; lysine (K)-specific demethylase 5D; lysine-specific demethylase 5D; protein SmcY; selected mouse cDNA on Y, human homolog of; SMC homolog, Y chromosome; SMCY; Smcy homolog, Y-linked
Description (eCommerce)
JARID1D is a member of the jumonji (jmj) domain containing gene family of histone demethylases that plays a role in chromatin regulation and influences transcriptional activation and suppression. JARID1D maps to the azoospermia factor region (AZF) on the Y chromosome and thus is also known as SMCY (selected mouse cDNA on Y chromosome) homolog. Jarid1D displays histone H3K4 demethylase activity and may have male specific functions.
Description (Vector)
KDM5D encodes a protein containing zinc finger domains. A short peptide derived from this protein is a minor histocompatibility antigen which can lead to graft rejection of male donor cells in a female recipient. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
