This is an AAV expressing shRNA for silencing of Human BCAR1.
shAAV-202011
AAV-h-BCAR1-shRNA
Ready-to-use AAV expressing shRNA for silencing of Human BCAR1 (BCAR1, Cas family scaffolding protein). Available with optional GFP reporter or cell-specific promoter.
Gene Reference Data
Alternate Names
BCAR1, Cas family scaffolding protein; breast cancer anti-estrogen resistance protein 1; CAS; Cas scaffolding protein family member 1; CAS1; CASS1; CRKAS; CRK-associated substrate; Crk-associated substrate p130Cas; P130Cas
Description (eCommerce)
BCAR1/p130CAS functions as a scaffolding protein for components of various kinase signaling pathways. It is involved in integrin signaling for cell motility as well as netrin signaling for the guidance of commissural axons. Overexpression of BCAR1/p130CAS has been shown to confer antiestrogen resistance in breast cancer cells.
Description (Vector)
BCAR1, or CAS, is an Src (MIM 190090) family kinase substrate involved in various cellular events, including migration, survival, transformation, and invasion (Sawada et al., 2006 (PubMed 17129785)).(supplied by OMIM, May 2009)

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
