AAV with ALB(1.7) promoter driven Venus
This AAV expresses Venus driven by a liver ALB(1.7) promoter.
The ALB(1.7) is a shorter version of the ALB(1.9) promoter with a total length of 1.7 Kb. In mouse liver cells, the transgene expression from this ALB(1.7) synthetic promoter is about 3-5 times lower than that of the ALB(1.9) promoter but 20-200 fold greater than that of the CMV promoter 10-20 weeks after plasmid injection into mouse liver.
Like mCitrine and EYFP, Venus was developed in an effort to get better variants of YFP in terms of brightness and photo-stability. Venus has an Excitation/Emission spectrum of 515nm/529nm which is almost identical to that of EYFP and mCitrine.
Ready-to-use AAV expressing Venus driven by a liver ALB(1.7) promoter. Available in AAV1, AAV2, AAV5, AAV6, AAV8, AAV9, AAV-DJ and other serotypes.
