Alternate Names
histone deacetylase complex subunit Sin3a; paired amphipathic helix protein Sin3a; SIN3 homolog A, transcription regulator; transcriptional corepressor Sin3a; transcriptional co-repressor Sin3A; transcriptional regulator, SIN3A; WITKOS
Description (eCommerce)
Sin3A is a part of a histone deacetylase co-repressor complex that functions to stabilize complex members and regulate gene expression through deacetylation of histones. Sin3A acts as a scaffold for a core complex which contains HDAC1, HDAC2, RbAp46, RbAp48, SAP30, RBP1 and p33INHib. Sin3A also associates with the Mad/Max complex to mediate transcriptional repression.
Description (Vector)
SIN3A is a transcriptional regulatory protein. It contains paired amphipathic helix (PAH) domains, which are important for protein-protein interactions and may mediate repression by the Mad-Max complex.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
