Alternate Names
endothelial zinc finger protein 2; EZF2; EZF-2; zinc finger and SCAN domain-containing protein 17; zinc finger protein 444; ZSCAN17
Description (eCommerce)
Zinc-finger protein 444 (ZNF444) belongs to the krueppel C2H2-type zinc-finger protein family and contains four C2H2-type zinc-fingers and one SCAN box domain. ZFN444 is also known as EZF-2 (endothelial zinc finger protein-2) and has been shown to bind the SREC (scavenger receptor expressed by endothelial cell) promoter.
Description (Vector)
ZNF444 encodes a zinc finger protein which activates transcription of a scavenger receptor gene involved in the degradation of acetylated low density lipoprotein (Ac-LDL) (PMID: 11978792). ZNF444 is located in a cluster of zinc finger genes on chromosome 19 at q13.4. A pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome 15. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
