Description (eCommerce)
Zinc-finger protein 261(ZNF261) is a candidate gene for X-linked mental retardation. ZNF261 is a component of a multi-protein HDAC1,2 complex and associates with BHC110. ZNF261 may be a DNA binding subunit for the histone deacetylase and transcriptional repressing activity of the HDAC1,2/BHC110 complex.
Description (Vector)
ZMYM3 is located on the X chromosome and is subject to X inactivation. It is highly conserved in vertebrates and most abundantly expressed in the brain. The encoded protein is a component of histone deacetylase-containing multiprotein complexes that function through modifying chromatin structure to keep genes silent. A chromosomal translocation (X;13) involving this gene is associated with X-linked mental retardation. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.

About Storage Conditions
All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity.
We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
