JLP (JNK-interacting leucine zipper protein) has been identified as a scaffolding protein that functions to position mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) into specific signaling modules so that successive phosphorylation events of the MAPK pathway can occur. JLP is also known as sperm associated antigen 9 (SPAG9) due to its abundant expression in testicular haploid germ cells.
Description (Vector)
SPAG9 encodes a member of the cancer testis antigen gene family. The encoded protein functions as a scaffold protein that structurally organizes mitogen-activated protein kinases and mediates c-Jun-terminal kinase signaling. This protein also binds to kinesin-1 and may be involved in microtubule-based membrane transport. This protein may play a role in tumor growth and development. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
