Description (eCommerce)
CD98 is a member of the solute carrier family. It is a cell surface, transmembrane protein. CD98 exists as the heavy chain of a heterodimer, covalently bound through di-sulfide bonds to one of several possible light chains. CD98 plays a role in regulation of intracellular calcium levels and transports L-type amino acids [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 6520)].
Description (Vector)
SLC3A2 is a member of the solute carrier family and encodes a cell surface, transmembrane protein. The protein exists as the heavy chain of a heterodimer, covalently bound through di-sulfide bonds to one of several possible light chains. The encoded transporter plays a role in regulation of intracellular calcium levels and transports L-type amino acids. Alternatively spliced transcript variants, encoding different isoforms, have been characterized.

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
