Alternate Names
Modulator of Na,K-ATPase; modulator of Na,K-ATPase long form; MONAKA; PX domain-containing protein kinase-like protein; PX ser/thr kinase v2; PX serine/threonine kinase; SLOB
Description (eCommerce)
PX domain-containing protein kinase-like protein (PXK) binds to and modulates brain Na,K-ATPase subunits ATP1B1 and ATP1B3 and may thereby participate in the regulation of electrical excitability and synaptic transmission.PXK may not display kinase activity [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) www.uniprot.org/uniprot/Q7Z7A4].
Description (Vector)
PXK binds to the Na,K-ATPase beta-1 (ATP1B1; MIM 182330) and beta-3 (ATP1B3; MIM 601867) subunits and modulates both Na,K-ATPase enzymatic and ion pump activities (Mao et al., 2005 (PubMed 16135750)).(supplied by OMIM, Mar 2008)

About Storage Conditions

All our viral products should be kept at -80°C. At this temperature, the virus will remain stable for 6-12 months (and in some cases, up to 2 years). Once thawed, the product can be stored at 4°C for 2-3 weeks without significant loss of biological activity. We recommend aliquoting your vectors into low protein binding tubes upon receipt. This helps avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, as well as prevent loss of virus. To maintain accurate titer, aliquot in at least 20ul per tube.
